Alamo - John McClure, 78, a laborer for most of his life, died suddenly at 7 a.m. Sunday at the home of Mr. Koch, one and one-half miles east of Alamo with whom he made his home.
Born in 1875 in Illinois, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. McCure. In 1900, he married Sarah Lane at Crawfordsville
Survivors include 3 half-brothers, Charles of Wallace, Chris of New Ross and Frank of Crawfordsville; two half-sisters, Mrs.. Anna Lowery of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Pearl Maxwell of Florida. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alamo Christian Church with burial in Alamo Cemetery, Rev. John R. Servie will officiate. The body is at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown where friends may call.
